About the Site

I'm Ryan Pope, a software engineer with a Bachelor's of Science from the University of Virginia. I've been interested in computer science since I was 14, and truly love learning and growing within the computer science community, both casually and professionally.

Feel free to reach out if there's anything you'd like to chat with me about! I'm always interested in a conversation.

One of the things that keeps the software development community so strong is that developers everywhere are eager to share what they've learned, and that information is not hidden behind a paywall or an NDA. I truly find more satisfaction in leaving a lasting impact on the community than I do from recieving a fat paycheck.

I'm committed to remaining an active and supportive member of the free-and-open-source (FOSS) community for as long as I can get my hands on a keyboard.

If you have any open-source projects on which you'd find my input valuable, please reach out! I'd love to talk.

I designed and built this site from scratch, using only HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript, and typed.js. I did this not only as an exercise for myself, but also to hopefully provide a useful resource for other developers to reference.

If you have any questions about this implementation, feel free to consult the source code, or reach out to me!
